Sephora PLAY! : September 2017

Yes this is super late! But better late than never!

Similar to Ipsy this is also a monthly subscription bag that is $10 and comes with 5 deluxe size samples (and even some full size). This bag also comes with a sample fragrance each month.

This subscription bag comes with products based of your PLAY! profile which you create when you first sign up. It also comes with the PLAY! Book with tips, tricks and beauty advise, the PLAY! PASS that you can redeem for 50 points in Sephora and a one on one tutorial, and the PLAY! DATE which is a monthly meet up to discuss tips and tricks for the products in the bag that month.

Lets start with this months bag!

img_6811So this bag is actually super duper cute! Which I haven’t always found myself saying when it comes to the Sephora PLAY! bag. But this one is extra cute!

img_6812DevaCurl; Melt Into Moisture Matcha Butter Conditioning Mask– Retail Price $36 for 8oz

I haven’t had a chance to try this mask but I am really excited to as my poor bleached hair could use some repairing! This claims to deep condition and nourish as well as boost shine. This looks to be suited for all types of hair but does even better for curly hair. I am interested in trying this product out to see how my hair reacts to some deep conditioning!

img_6813Belif; The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb–Retail price $38 for 1.68oz

I should have said way earlier but I haven’t had a chance to try any of my products because my bag arrived late in the month this month so just bare with me as we go through the claims on all of these! This moisturizer sounds really good! This claims to be the solution for dryness and loss of firmness and elasticity! It is supposed to provide comforting moisture that will leave skin smooth and supple. I am excited to try this with the fall weather coming around as my skin can tend to get some dry patches and then can end up oily because it needs more moisture so I think this will be a nice bit for my skin!

STILA; Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner–Retail Price $22 for 0.016oz

I have tried this and WOW! It is black as black! Dries down quickly and the felt tip is super easy to use on the eye. Some people don’t like using the felt tip but I really like them when I do decide to wear a wing liner. I don’t wear a wing everyday so this is nice for the special occasions!

Laura Mercier; Velour Lovers Lip Colour in Happy–Retail Price $28 for 0.12oz

This color is a warm fuchsia with some slight sparkle in it. I’m not usually a huge fan of having sparkle in my standard matte type lipsticks because it can sometimes wear funny so I am curious to see how this one wears! I do really love the color but it applied slightly patchy so I’m not sure how it will work out but I am hopeful!

Benefit; Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel in shade 3– Retail Price $24 for 0.1oz

I have used the full size of this product previously as part of my regular brow routine and I love it!! I normally use shade 1 and I believe this may be too dark for my brows but I am going to give it a shot and see how it looks. I have a strong feeling it’s going to be really dark but since we are going into fall maybe it won’t looks so bad!

The final thing in the bag was the perfume sample that comes with each bag. I think I have only gotten one that I have actually liked and this months I really didn’t like it again. I’m not much of a perfume wearer any how so I can be hard to please with perfumes. But for this month we did get was

Giorgio Armani; Acqua di Gioia–Retail Price $72 for 1.7oz

Again I wasn’t a huge fan but I really never am when it comes to the perfume samples.

But that completes my Sephora PLAY! bag for the month of September! It was actually a really good bag this month so I guess I will consider keeping it. I think I will keep it until the end of the year and reevaluate at that point in time. I have enjoyed the bag but there are just too many things I don’t find myself using. Plus I have a new subscription I started and I am excited to share that the first October!

Thanks for stopping by and keep an eye out for what might be up around the curve.
