Boxy Charm : September 2017

New Subscription Alert!!!!

I have now subscribed to Boxy Charm!!!!

I have bounced around the idea of subscribing to Boxy Charm for some time now as I see it all the time on YouTube and most all of my favorite influencers all subscribe to it. I just struggled with having $21 debit my account each month. But I finally took the plunge! I decided to subscribe and I will tell you in my first box did not disappoint!!! Lets get into it!

First of all Boxy Charm is $21 a month for 4-5 full size products. The box is always guaranteed to a value of $100 or more each month. They offer a wide range of brands from emerging to well known. There is a beauty quiz you can take similar to Ipsy to go over your skin tone, skin type, hair color, eye color, so on and so forth. They also offer a user friendly website to allow you to review the items in your box.

One thing I have noticed with Boxy Charm is across the board the products are the same but sometimes the shades differ from person to person so if you are not a YouTube subscriber you may be surprised by what is in your box but for me I like to spoil the fun and get even more excited about using what I will be getting in the box.

Now lets get into the products!

MAC; Eyebrows                                                                                            Retail Price $18

This color is slightly too dark for me so I don’t think I will be using it much but I was super thrilled that a MAC product made it into the box!!! I never in my life thought I would own a MAC product! I will keep trying to use this even if it’s just to define the bottom portion of my brown and the tail I will try to make this work.

BareMinerals; Face Perfecting Brush                                                  Retail Price $28

This brush was originally designed to be used with the BareMineral’s specific foundation but apparently can be used with any type of foundation. I did get a chance to use this foundation with my Maybelline Matte and Poreless foundation. It was ok. I wasn’t totally impressed. It applied my foundation pretty well but there were some patchy area’s and some area’s that it got streaky. I am going to try this with a more liquidy foundation to see if it applies any better. I was tempted to try it with my Milani Conceal and Perfect but after seeing how it handled the Maybelline I think I will stick to my beauty blender.

Studio Make Up; HD Loose Powder Blush                                                Retail Price $35

This is a very pretty blush! It has the slightest bit of luminosity to it and the shade is really flattering on my skin tone. I’m not sure how I feel about the loose powder part of this because it is kind of difficult to get it out of the container and it is really easy to get too much product on the brush. Over all though the couple of times I have used the blush it is a very pretty color and flattering for my skin tone.

ColourPop; Ultra Satin Lip in shade Little Stitches                                 Retail Price $6

Any one who knows me knows that ColourPop is my favorite lip product brand ever! Not only is it inexpensive the quality is amazing and the satin lip formula is soooo comfortable to wear for an extended period of time! This shade is a new one for me and I have to say I have worn it almost all week! I love that it is a simple nude that I can change simply by changing my lip liner underneath. I think what also draws me so much to this color is that it is a cool tone nude unlike many of the others that I come across! Least to say this will be well loved and well used!

Briogeo; Don’t Despair Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask                 Retail Price $20

I haven’t had a chance to try this product out but I have gotten the Briogeo leave in conditioner before and it was amazing! I loved the smell and it was an amazing product for my hair! I like it much more than my Kenra leave in conditioner! So I am really excited to give this a try, especially considering that we are heading into fall and winter any my hair always seems to get dry during this time of year. It really doesn’t take much with the bleach that is in it though.

And as if things couldn’t get any better! We got 6 items in this box! Best first box ever!p

Pur; Soiree Dreams Eyeshadow Pallet                                                  Retail Price $34

This pallet is every neutral lovers dream! The blendability and pigmentation is gorgeous and the metalic’s really shine! I love that this pallet gives so many different options with both warm and cool tones. I have been using this pallet non stop for about a week now and I love it! The swatches on the lowest image are from the shimmer shades. Aren’t they beautiful! I may have to try and post a eye look using these!

That wraps up my September Boxy Charm! For a first month can I just say WOW!!!! I mean how awesome was this box!!! It was incredible!! The total retail price for the box came down to $141!!! And I paid only $21 for the subscription!!! Now yes I wasn’t a huge fan of a couple of the products but I have to say that for the cost to value this box is so worth it!!! I can’t wait to find out what Octobers will hold!

Thank you for stopping by and keep an eye out for what might be up around the curve!
