Boxy Charm : October 2017

Boxy Charm is $21 a month for 4-5 full size products. The box is always guaranteed to a value of $100 or more each month. They offer a wide range of brands from emerging to well known. There is a beauty quiz you can take similar to Ipsy to go over your skin tone, skin type, hair color, eye color, so on and so forth. They also offer a user friendly website to allow you to review the items in your box.

(Disclaimer: I paid for this box on my own and all opinions are my own.)

Now lets get into the box!

This month the box theme was Spellbound.

For my second box I was so excited to see all of these amazing things that we got this month! And I can’t believe that it’s all for just $21 a month!! Now for the products.

DR.Brandt; PoreDermabrasion                                                    Retail Price $58

I have tried this a couple of times now and it is amazing!! The micro beads that work to exfoliate are very small and really get into my pores to clean my face! My skin can be slightly sensitive in certain area’s so I don’t use things like this very often. I recently have been having some trouble on my forehead with a breakout and after this and a hydrating sheet mask last night my skin looks completely different! I think I will be getting lots of use out of this!

Becca; Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter; Shade: Prosecco Pop

Retail Price $38

WOW!!!! Is all that I can say!! I love Becca highlighters but the only full size I have is Champagne Pop. So when I saw this in the box I was so much more than excited!!! I have used this color before in the Jaclyn Hill face pallet that I purchase a while ago and I loved it. This however is more of a summer color for me with how gold it comes off on the skin. I tried it the other day and I am much more pale now that we are entering fall and headed toward winter and it was slightly looking dark on me. But I am still so thrilled to have received a full size Becca highlighter!

Jonteblu; Lip Liner Pencil; Shade: Spice                                           Retail Price $5

I haven’t heard of this brand but I am slowly branching more into lip liners and I was happy to receive this in the box. It is a wooden liner pencil and the shade is very flattering nude and would go well under any lipstick. The formula is a little waxy and it tugged some at my lips when I used it. However once I got it going it started to move more smoothly. I think I will try and use this pencil some more to figure out if I really like it or not.

Dirty Little Secrets; Eyeshadow Chubby; Shade: Illusion              Retail Price $14

This was another brand I hadn’t head of but this is an awesome product! I like cream eyeshadow chubby crayons like this to use as a base for my shimmer shadows! The color coming off on my hand looks more gold but the shade has a rosy hue to it. I think it’s more of a rose gold than anything. But after using it as a eyeshadow base I am hooked! It works amazing and looks beautiful. It also  looked great on it’s own when I applied it. It’s more subtle than you might expect but looks beautiful.

Tarte; Tarteist Quick Matte Paint; Shade: Get it!                                Retail Price $20

Talk about another cool product to get!!! I have a couple of the Tarte mini’s from different subscriptions and I loved the formula and the longevity of wear time! It’s also very comfortable on the lips. Now I’m not your typical nude lover. I enjoy a good nude but I’m not a live, breath, eat, sleep for nudes. I prefer bolder lips and that’s just because I feel they suit my personality better! And this nude I’m not the biggest fan of. It’s very yellow tone on my skin and I prefer a more pinky nude. I think I will try this with multiple different lip liners to see if I can find a combination that I do like.

Well that concludes the October Boxy Charm Review! I hope you all enjoyed seeing the products I got this month. So far I have been super impressed with this subscription and I plan to keep this one going!

Thanks for stopping by and keep an eye out for what might be up around the curve!
