Sephora PLAY! : November 2017

Similar to Ipsy this is also a monthly subscription bag that is $10 and comes with 5 deluxe size samples (and even some full size). This bag also comes with a sample fragrance each month.

This subscription bag comes with products based of your PLAY! profile which you create when you first sign up. It also comes with the PLAY! Book with tips, tricks and beauty advise, the PLAY! PASS that you can redeem for 50 points in Sephora and a one on one tutorial, and the PLAY! DATE which is a monthly meet up to discuss tips and tricks for the products in the bag that month.

So lets dive into this months bag!

img_7097The theme for this month was “It’s Me O’Clock”. Not really sure this totally translates into the products we got in the bag but I will say I was pretty excited to see some of the products we would be getting this month and lets get into those now!

Marc Jacobs Beauty; Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara                                    Full Size Retail $26

This is amazing! It makes my lashes full and thick without being super clumpy and they are actually kind of soft too! And how awesome is this in a subscription bag!!! Sephora PLAY! is stepping up their game! I am pretty impressed by getting this this month and I love samples like this because I can use them in between needing to buy new mascara!

amika; Perk Up Dry Shampoo             Full Size Retail $22

This is a small sample for a hair product which can be expected with something like this but this stuff is awesome!!! It smells amazing and works amazing! The only down side I could see is that there is a slight white cast if you get to heavy handed (like I can). So this might not be super friendly for dark hair but I will say that once I rubbed it in the white cast went away and my hair doesn’t feel super gross like dry shampoo sometimes can make it feel.

Farmacy; Honey Drop Light weight Moisturizer with Echinacea GreenEnvy;

Full Size Retail $45

This product is very very very moisturizing! There are a lot of natural ingredients in this and I appreciate that! Not to mention it smells amazing! I have only used it on my hands thus far but I want to try it as a face moisturizer with the upcoming colder months that will bring on some dry skin! With this product a little goes a long way as well!

Sephora Collection; Rouge Cream Lipstick; Shade-The Red              Full Size Retail $12.50

I love red lipsticks! Bold lips just speak to me! I have worn red lips for as long as I can remember and it just gives me a boost of confidence and gives me that fun, bright and bold look. The swatch on this is smooth, creamy and rich! I haven’t had a chance to wear this yet but I am looking forward to wearing it! I love the color and it’s the time of year where reds are big for the holidays!

Philosophy; Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Mask                 Full Size Retail $35

I see people rave about this product with a 4 1/2 star rating and I am so excited to try it! I haven’t had a chance to give it ago but I really love all types of masks because with the amount of make up I wear on the daily I need all the pore cleaning I can get! I am hoping that this weekend I can give this a try and see how it goes! I also might take this on vacation with me to help my skin while I am out of town!

Last but not least is the perfume sample. And we all know how much a fan of them I am…..

Burberry; My Burberry Blush  Full Size Retail $90

This is a very fresh scent that I think is very pretty but I don’t think I will ever wear it. I never wear perfume and because it’s just too strong.

So that wraps up my November Sephora PLAY! bag! I really like all of the products in this bag and as much as I consider canceling I really think Sephora is stepping up their game. We will see how they go on throughout the first of the year and I will decided then if I want to cancel.

Until next time, thanks for stopping by and keep an eye out for what might be up around the curve.

  1. Ive been loving trying out the Marc jacobs mascara. I wish we were able to redeem the extra points online, and I wish all stores had play dates. It kind of sucks if you don’t live in a big city.
