It was finally that time of year and boy was it so much fun!!!
And to spend a week in Las Vegas no less!!!!
Yes I was very happy to come home but I was more happy about all of the new places and things I got to see this time around while I was down in the city that never sleeps. With such a diversity of entertainment and food how could you see it all in just a short period of time?! This year I made a point to find new restaurants and to see new attractions.
It’s been awhile since I have flown and I forgot about the amazing views you see flying above the clouds! Spectacular views for so many miles! Next year I am going to carry on my small camera so that I can get some nicer photos!
The week I was down there was for the Miss Rodeo America Pageant and the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo! What a blast! The first half of the week was slower I found different and fun things to do and try!
On my first day down there I found this beautiful lady at check in! She was rocking her Green Greely Hat and I couldn’t be more proud of how she did and how she looked representing the great state of Washington!
On Monday I found some familiar faces at the Horsemanship competition of the pageant and we had some fun during the main part of the day before heading out to walk the strip and go to dinner!
Bubba Gump Shirp Co. was the first new place I tried on my week long trip! And it did not disappoint! I had the sampler platter so that I could try a lot of the different things they offered. Not mention when traveling restaurants can be a tad spendy when traveling so this being an appetizer offered not only options but plenty of food for me and it wasn’t punching a whole in my trip budget!
On Tuesday afternoon we adventured out to Hoover Dam which was a spectacular sight to see! I really recommend any one who hasn’t seen it. The view is amazing and it’s interesting to read all about the different facts of the dam. There were no dam tours at the time we went out so we only got to walk along the top but still it was amazing to see! The history of it all too was incredible!
I even got to add a new state to the list I have traveled too! Even if it was only briefly I can now say that I have in fact visited Arizona! And I’m pretty sure they don’t recognize day light savings time so
I was there an hour a head! Cheesy yes I know but what can I say I was playing tourist!
As the week moved on it got to be more and more fun and happenings! I attended the speech competition at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant where our Washingtonian Crystal killed it in her speech! And then I got to pick up a very special guest!
My little brother came to vacation with me in Vegas! (P.S. the rest of my family shows up later) And of course the first place we go! IN-N-OUT Burger! We don’t have one of these in Washington and I was more than a little excited to see my brother and to go and get some burgers animal style! And as you can see in the bottom of the photo he got his fries animal style as well!
Finally my whole fambam arrived in the city of lights and I convinced my husband to finally get sushi with me!!! We went to RA Sushi that was down the strip past most of the major hotels. And I was so impressed not only with the sushi but with the price as well! Most things in Vegas are more expensive especially when it is on the strip but this was very reasonable! And tell me this doesn’t look amazing!
And all in the middle of this I was getting to watch all the different events that Crystal was competing in and getting to see all kinds of friends from all over!
To say the very least it was quite the week of fun! Spending time with everyone I don’t always get to see all the time and to just be away from the hustle and bustle of my everyday grind was nice! The one nice thing about being in Las Vegas for a whole week is that when it comes time to head home I am always so ready for it! I always miss my own bed and all of my adorable fur babies! And now that I am home it’s nice to have a minute to reflect on the incredible time I had the new people I met and the old friends I got to spend some time with! And not to mention the food!!!
Well that wraps of this adventure! Thanks for stopping by and keep an eye out for what might be up around the curve!
