New Subscription Alert!!!
Kiss Me Club by Live Glam is a monthly subscription for lip sticks. These are the Kiss Me Club brand lipsticks. You get 3 liquid lipsticks (they are adding in glosses and satin finish to some months) for $19.99 a month and free shipping in the US. Each month includes 3 different shades that you haven’t received before. You can cancel at any time and skip months you don’t want. They also offer a points and perks plan that allows you to shop different make up and things on their site.
Live Glam also offers a brush club subscription for $19.99 with Morphe Brushes and they have an eyeshadow club coming as well that looks to be $19.99 for 6 eye shadows.
Now I know that there has been some controversy over Live Glam and their subscriptions. Apparently the 3rd party vendor they use for their credit card processing was compromised and was causing members to incur fraudulent charges. These were happening in large dollar amounts that were putting some people really off kilter which I can understand. I was very hesitant to try this subscription just because of all of this controversy but I took some time doing some research and reading their blog post on their site it said that they were working with a forensic team and had taken extra measures to make sure that their customer information was secure. Now I know you can’t always trust what a company says but to have an A on the Better Business Bureau I figure they try to do the best they can for their customers. I also was watching Shaanxo on YouTube and she was doing a review of the Kiss Me Club. In the video she said they offered her a discount code and she also addressed in the comments the issues over the credit card information being stolen and that they are doing everything to help alleviate the situation. I figured it was worth a shot and that I would dive in given that I was getting my first month half off.
I will say I have been watching my account very closely and so far I haven’t seen any strange transactions. I will keep you all posted though on if anything happens.
So now for this months liquid lipsticks!!!
Each month comes in a nice stain bag like this:
And each comes with this fold out fact sheet that details a little bit about each shade and what we are getting in the months bag.
This month we got a metallic and two mattes.
This is a rose golden metallic lip color that dries down to a completely matte finish. I normally am not the biggest fan of metallic lips because I feel like they don’t always look right on me but this one is different! I don’t know if its because it dries down matte or what but this is probably the most wearable metallic lip I have come across! I have worn this on it’s own as well as over the top of darker lip liners to give a pop and its incredible! I know I will be getting a lot of use out of these!
This shade is really “Goals”. It’s a beautiful and bright orangey red. I normally don’t like my reds orangey but I really enjoy wearing this shade. It is very bright and bold which some might not like but I really enjoy a nice ready lip! It’s another one to add to my collection!
So this shade….How do I even start? I really don’t like this shade at all! I feel like it makes me look sick. I am way to pale to be able to pull of gray shades like this one. Its definitely an adventurous shade which I am normally all about but I just can’t pull this one off! With this one I might see how the trading lip sticks system with Kiss Me club works just because I don’t know about this one.
The nice thing about Kiss Me Club too, is the ability to review and rate the previous months lip colors. I really enjoy this kind of system because then it allows them to know what shades are real winners and what ones to not use. I will say these aren’t customized to the person each month but it is stated that they take into account when deciding future months colors.
Over all I am really impressed with the formula and the quickness of turn around time on shipping and what not. I will keep you all updated on how things go into the future!
Thank you for stopping by and keep an eye for what might be up around the curve.
