Taking a Step Back

This weekend has been so refreshing!

I normally hoard all f my vacation time at work. Don’t ask me why but it’s one of those things that I just don’t like to take time off unless it’s absolutely for something. But over the last three years I have learned that this is really unhealthy and taxing on my mental health. Now don’t get me wrong I love my job! I love the people I work with and I love the people I deal with daily but there comes times when you have to give yourself a mental break.

So this year I have finally learned that I need to space out my time off and give myself a mental break a lot sooner than I have been. So Why not take an extra long weekend!

My husband actually took the same time off so that we could not only paint our house but still have some time to just be together and hang out! And it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time because he is now about to start his new job and this is a nice time to rest up before starting this!

I am learning every day it’s important to take care of your mental self. Just as important if not more important than taking care of your physical self because it takes your mental self to motivate and push your physical self to be the best you can be!

That’s why I’m starting to take more time for me. I’m taking more bubble bath’s. I’m reading more books. I’m taking time to relax with my husband and by myself. I’m taking a moment to enjoy my coffee in the morning. I’m taking time to cook at night. I’m trying to worry less about the little things.

And just with these few simple things I have noticed such a difference in my over all mental self. And now I’m taking one more step toward this by spending a weekend away from it all just to enjoy the simple quiet moments.

By taking a step back when someone pointed out my negativity and how much I was becoming toxic to those around me a couple of months ago I have been able to see so much in myself and to really refocus myself. I took the step back to not only agree with their observation but to then take the steps to change how I was.

I know I am not perfect and I know I am a work in progress. But starting the work however small of steps you take as long as they are in the right direction it can add up to a whole lot of change!

By taking a step back I am now able to watch myself walk forward with more enthusiasm and confidence than I had before!

Thank you for stopping by and keep an eye out for what might be up around the curve!

Sephora PLAY : May 2018

Similar to Ipsy this is also a monthly subscription bag that is $10 and comes with 5 deluxe size samples (and even some full size). This bag also comes with a sample fragrance each month.

This subscription bag comes with products based of your PLAY! profile which you create when you first sign up. It also comes with the PLAY! Book with tips, tricks and beauty advise, the PLAY! PASS that you can redeem for 50 points in Sephora and a one on one tutorial, and the PLAY! DATE which is a monthly meet up to discuss tips and tricks for the products in the bag that month.

This bag was again really late this month. I haven’t had a chance to try out the products too much so I will just give you my initial thoughts.

This bag was cute and different than other bags but I think the paracord draw string was a little cheesy.

Atelier Cologne; Clementine California Cologne Absolue Pure Perfume                          Full Size $135

I thought I would get this out of the way first because as we all know I’m not a fan of perfume. I did think the post card that came with it made for a really nice photo op and the smell on this wasn’t bad but is still sooooo strong I really don’t like it.

Moving on…

Sephora Collection; Mud Mask Purifying and Mattifying Mask                    Full Size $20

This stuff stinks! I opened the jar to swatch a bit of it just to see what it felt like and the fragrance or something coming from this is sooooo strong it’s not even funny! I even had my husband smell it just to make sure it wasn’t just me. Now the texture is really nice and really thick which I’m sure will be really nice as a purifying mask but I’m not sure I can get past the smell. It’s really over powering and not a good smell! I’m hoping to try and give it a try tonight so I can maybe update this before it posts but I don’t think I will get to.

Benefit Cosmetics; The POREfessional Face Primer                   Full Size $31

In the past I really haven’t liked this primer even though it’s a cult favorite. But it’s been some time since I tried it last and given how similar it is to the Cover FX primer we got in Boxy Charm this month I thought why not try it. To my surprise this hasn’t been bad for my skin at the moment. I still get a little oily in my T-Zone and end up shinny by the end of the day but this works very similarly to the Cover FX primer. I am going to give it one more shot one of these next few days and see if it acts the same way. I may have just been having a bad make up day the time I had tried this before but we will never know because so much has changed in my routine.

BareMinerals; Mineral Veil Setting Powder                        Full Size $23

I was probably most excited to see this product in the bag this month because one of my coworkers swears by this powder. She says she uses it every day as a setting powder and loves it so I was pretty excited to give it a try. One thing I was really excited to see when I opened this up was that there is a nice pinky, salmon color which works great with my skin tone! I am not a fan of heavily yellow powders so this one was really nice to see in the bag. I will say I did use this once and the powder is really nice! It’s very finely milled and applied beautifully to my skin. I’m looking forward to using this more!

Alterna Haircare; Caviar CC Cream for Hair 10-in-1 Complete Correction                         Full Size $26

I think it’s fun to get hair products in my subscriptions but I’m always a little leery of using them because I have color treated hair so I don’t like to just dive in with new products without testing them out first on a small section of my hair. This one I’m curious to try but not sure how it will react with my hair. I do really like the smell of it too.

Buxom; Lash Mascara; Shade-Black                                                         Full Size $20

Mascara samples are really nice to get in subscriptions each month because then I don’t ever have to buy new ones and I get to try a bunch of different brands. This is another one of those plastic wands that I’m not really a fan of but this one is different in the essence that the bristles are really soft and flexible. The formula is kind of thin and it takes quite a few coats to build up my lashes but other than that it seems nice enough. I will keep trying it out and see what I think later on.

So this concludes my Sephora PLAY! box for May. One of the biggest things I’m disappointed with is how long it takes the box to come each month and also the products really aren’t as great as some of the other I have been getting in other boxes. I don’t know if I will continue to get this box given that I still don’t think it is worth the money and I think I may have found another one that would have much better value for nearly the same cost. But until I can for sure order that box I’m not going to keep this one just so I can keep up my subscription week. But keep an eye out in the future because things may be changing here on the Curvy E Chronicles!

Thank you for stopping by and keep an eye out for what might be up around the curve!

Yes, Oh YAS! : May 2018

Yes, Oh Yas! is a new monthly subscription box ! They offer 3-7 full size products each month for $14.99 plus $3.99 shipping. This box allows you to discover new make up and beauty brands.

Yes, Oh Yas! actually reached out to me to become a brand promoter for their new subscription box.  They did give me a code to share with you all for 10% off you first box.

I will always keep my opinions on the products honest, true and my own.

So lets get into this months box!

This months theme was Miami Art Deco! Very colorful!

Now for the products!

Estate Cosmetics; Baked Highlighter Dew Me; Shade- Lit                    Retail Price $10

This was one of the first sneak peaks for May’s box and I was sooooo excited to get any of the three color options! When I opened this one up I was even more pumped! I will say that this looks a lot darker in the pan than is actually applies and swatches! It’s a beautiful icy gold color and is stunning! I really have been loving baked highlighters! They apply so smoothly and are not only pigmented but also buildable! This was totally a great addition to this months box!

Nomad Cosmetic’s; Havana Intense Eyeshadow; Shade-Cohiba              Retail Price $12

This was one of the first items I pulled out of my bag when I got it in the mail and I was so surprised to at how heavy this one felt! The packaging is very luxe feeling and very sturdy! It also comes with a decent size mirror considering this is a single eyeshadow compact. The other thing about this shadow is the sheer creaminess! I mean it’s heavenly to swatch and to apply! The color is darker than I normally wear as a shimmery lid shade but this one is worth branching out for! When I was scrolling through the website I saw there were so many different and bright color options I want to try out! They also have the option to order a box of 6 eyeshadow’s for $57 which is like getting one free and then some. This is an awesome shadow with great pigment! I am really impressed by this one!

Sorme Treatment Cosmetics; SmearProof Eyeliner; Shade-Teal               Retail Price $18

This is a new to me brand and looks like they don’t offer any kind of online retail purchasing. But this eyeliner is awesome! The pigment is there and the formula is creamy and buttery! I am currently wearing it and just like it say’s it’s smear proof even wearing it in my waterline! This is another one of those out there colors I wouldn’t normally wear but I’m happy I got it because I really love how it wears and how the color looks on me!

Cosmoholic; Lipsitck; Shade-Unsure                                                              Retail Price $25

So I can’t tell what shade this one is base on the website examples and there is no shade name listed on the bottle so I’m going between either “Not Your Average Nude” or “Passionate Peach”. Either way this is an awesome lip product! I have received a mini from this company before and I really liked it! This being the full size comes with the most awesome lights in the cap so that you can see what your doing better when your applying your lipstick! The downside to this is that it’s actually more of a sheer gloss consistence and it wears like a gloss! Now the only reason I say that it is a down side is because it’s advertised as a high pigment lipstick so it’s really just having the correct name but other than that this is a fantastic lip product and looks absolutely beautiful!

Laritzy Cosmetics; Lip Pencil; Shade- Retro Red                                    Retail Price $18

I have gotten a lip pencil from Laritzy before I think and I really like this brand and the formula on these! They are smooth and easy to apply. This one is in a muted red color which I really like because I can put different colors on top of it and get different looks! There isn’t really anything life changing about this pencil but it is really nice and applies really nicely as well.

This month’s total:

And that’s all the goods that have come in my May Yes, Oh Yas! Box! I can’t wait for the upcoming months! On the Yes, Oh Yas! instagram a week ago they said that they are 95% on track to get us a palette every month! How incredible is that!!!

If you haven’t signed up for Yes, Oh Yas! you should it’s a great box with lots of different brand make up to try! Remember you can use code CURVYE to get 10% off your first box!

Update: On the info card that came with the box two of the products listed incorrectly as far as price goes-they had the Nomad eyeshadow listed as $18 which is incorrect and the Estate highlighter as $12 also incorrect. Slightly inflated but this box is still worth it!

Thank you for stopping by and keep an eye out for what might be up around the curve!

Kiss Me Club : May 2018

Kiss Me Club by Live Glam is a monthly subscription for lip sticks. These are the Kiss Me Club brand lipsticks. You get 3 liquid lipsticks (they are adding in glosses and satin finish to some months) for $19.99 a month and free shipping in the US. Each month includes 3 different shades that you haven’t received before. You can cancel at any time and skip months you don’t want. They also offer a points and perks plan that allows you to shop different make up and things on their site.

Live Glam also offers a brush club subscription for $19.99 with Morphe Brushes and they have an eyeshadow club coming as well that looks to be $19.99 for 6 eye shadows.

Lets get into this months lip colors!

This month had a bridal theme which I think is oh so fitting given that we are in full swing of wedding season!

This month these beauties came in this adorable silver bag and this month it didn’t have the normal Kiss Me logo on the front so this makes it nice to use for something else! The lipsticks themselves came in their beautiful rose gold packaging that I really adore! Now for the shades!

This is a sheer baby pink gloss! It comes off with some pigment in a swatch but depending on the color of your lips it doesn’t have too much pigment when applied! This is just like the other glosses I have received from this subscription in the sense that they take a few dips into the tube to get the right amount on the lips but when you do it’s really beautiful! I enjoy getting glosses because glossy lips are starting to be all of the rage so I absolutely love getting new ones to try!

Bride to Be

This really is the most perfect wedding day shade! It’s stunning and the perfect muted dusty rose color! It’s one of my all time favorites and something I have been wearing non stop since I got it! I love how it wears and it looks great with gloss on top as well!

We all know I love my dark colors! And this is a beautiful color! The name I think is very appropriate because it’s a bold color for a bold night out! I normally don’t wear these on the day to day during the spring and summer but I think this will be stunning in the fall! This formula thankfully also wasn’t patchy like one of the previous dark colors I have gotten but I really love this shade and I think I will be getting this out a lot this fall!

I really love this subscription and though I don’t think I need more lipsticks every month I am always so drawn in my the new shades! I’m looking forward to next month!!

Boxy Charm : May 2018

Boxy Charm is $21 a month for 4-5 full size products. The box is always guaranteed to a value of $100 or more each month. They offer a wide range of brands from emerging to well known. There is a beauty quiz you can take similar to Ipsy to go over your skin tone, skin type, hair color, eye color, so on and so forth. They also offer a user friendly website to allow you to review the items in your box.

And we have come up on another great box this month!

This months theme is Boxy Bash to celebrate Boxy Charms birthday!

Now for the goods!

PUR The Complexion Authority; Sculptor Highlight and Contour Palette     Retail Price $30

Boxy Charm partners with PUR quite often and every palette and product I get is always amazing! I really love that this month we got a sculpting palette! I always want to try different bronzing and contouring powders but I’m afraid they will be too dark for me. That being said this palette looks really really dark but when you apply with a light hand it really comes off beautifully on the skin! The highlights in this palette are also stunning! I was slightly worried again that the more rosegold shade would be too dark for my skin tone but I was pleasantly surprised with how beautiful and blinding these highlights come off! The other nice thing is that all of these colors are buildable which I couldn’t appreciate more! The formula is smooth and buttery and I really really love this palette! It’ll be super nice for traveling!

img_0869Cover FX; Blurring Primer                Retail Price $38

I’m still testing out this primer but the first time I used it I really liked it! It applied really nicely and my foundation layered on top really nice as well. It even did looked nice over my nose which can be a problem area for me when the weather gets warm out. The only down side that I have had with this primer is that by the end of the day my face was pretty greasy. I went to take some lip swatch photo’s and decided against it because of how oily my face was. But I am going to keep testing this out before I make a final thought on this primer!

Aesthetica; Pro Brush Series, 3-Piece Eyeliner, Brow and Spoolie brush set  Retail Price $45 and Pro Brush Series Professional Powder Makeup Brush #P12  Retail Price $27

I will always be so incredibly happy to have brushes in any of my subscriptions! These are amazing quality and super nice! They also pair nicely with the other products we received in this months box! The face brush is really soft and though it picks up a lot of product when you dip it in it also blends out the product beautifully! The eye brush set is so needed as I have needed a stand along spoolie for some time because for some reason I don’t have just a spoolie on it’s own so I absolutely love that part of the set. The angle brow brush I don’t see my self using as much because it is really thick and I prefer brow pencils rather than applying powder. The liner brush is also very neat and precise and goes perfectly with the next product we received in out box.

Pretty Vulgar; The Ink Gel Eyeliner; Shade- Black                                     Retail Price $24

Can we just have a moment for this packaging! I mean come on isn’t this just adorable! It’s like a little ink pot and it has embossed feather pen details on each side of the logo. I absolutely love the adorable packaging that Pretty Vulgar comes up with! It’s just so unique and creative! Now for this eyeliner…I think it speaks for itself when you look at the swatch on my hand! I mean look at that! PIGMENTED! Now I’m not normally a gel eyeliner wearer so this is definitely putting me out of my comfort zone but it’s a push I’m loving! I wore this yesterday just in a simple small line and I was so impressed with not only how long it stayed on my eye but how great it looked all day! I will be trying to include this into my looks more and more!

Beauty Creations; Long Wear Matte Lip Gloss; Shade- Sweet Heart         Retail Price $10

This was a collaboration with Beauty Creations and Boxy Charm. It’s a beautiful shade and one of my favorite types of pink! When I opened up this container to swatch this lip color it felt very familiar to another lipstick I had received from a subscription but I was sure it was a different brand. Sure enough I went and took a look and found that this lipstick formula, packaging, and scent are all the exact same as the Bella Pierre lipsticks I have gotten before. I think one of these companies probably does some sort of private labeling. However this lipstick is really nice! The only downside to this formula is that when it dries down it gets extremely tacky! I mean lips sticking together tacky! I find these work best with an actual gloss over the top. I will also say that the scent on these lipsticks is very prominent with a artificial candy smell to it. For me it’s not super bothersome but I can see where it could be a turn off for others. All in all though this is a nice size liquid lip stick for only $10.

So that concludes this months Boxy Charm and we have come to a grand total of…..

As you can see this is total worth the money! This is one of my favorite subscriptions and I just love it more and more each month! It allows the ability to try out different make up that I might not normally have the money or option to try out! I can’t wait to see what next month holds!

Ipsy Review : May 2018

For those of you who don’t know about this subscription bag it is  $10 and contain 5 deluxe size samples (and sometimes full size products)  each month.

Ipsy starts with a beauty quiz that asks you questions about different things you like as well as your different features (i.e. Blonde hair, green eyes, fair skin). Each month you also can review the products your received; so if you love something you let them know and if you hate something you let them know.

Lets get into this months bag!

This month’s bag is super cute! Even for being yellow and orange (two colors I really don’t like) it’s really adorable! The theme was all about travel. I also wanted to note I got my bag super early this month which is why it’s first up during Subscription Week!

Now for this month products!

SLMiss Glam; Sparkle Every Day Glam Beauty Sponge

I was so incredibly excited when I sneak peaked this for my bag this month! I absolutely LOVE SL Miss Glam! Stephanie is the sweetest and her products are just to die for! The sponge we got in this months back was a mini version of her normal Sparkle Sponges. I took a picture of the two sponges next each other to show the comparison. Both sponges are wet in the photo too. I really love this mini sponge for blending out concealer and applying my setting powder! The full size sponge is one of my favorites to use daily and I really need to order a couple more here soon! This was probably my favorite item from this months bag.

NYX Proffessional Make Up; Soft Matte Lip Cream; Shade- Cairo            Full Size $6.50

I got a different shade one of these last month and I loved it! The formula is very whipped and interesting! It does take time to dry down but when it does it’s a beautiful and comfortable finish. This shade isn’t one of my favorites because it’s super nude! I’m not a nude lover like the vast majority of people out there so this is a real struggle for me to find looks to wear it with but I like to pair it with different lip liners and pigmented glosses. I will say I really do like this formula from NYX!

Elizabeth Mott Cosmetics; Pop Goes the Shadow; Shade- Mermaid Teal     Retail Price $13

We have received shadows from Elizabeth Mott in the past and the pigment and quality is always amazing! This is my favorite shade I have gotten from this brand yet! It’s a stunning teal with gold, green and blue flip to it. It’s subtle but gorgeous. I don’t normally use colors like this in my day to day but I love to give them a try for a fun pop of color every once in a while. The pigment is amazing with or without wetting the brush and looks stunning. I paired it up with my Jaclyn Hill Palette and it looked amazing!

Tarte; Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder                   Full Size $ 33

I’m really not a fan of this powder! It’s super super finely milled and very smooth but it gives off the worst white cast! I didn’t even have to take flash photo’s to see the white cast this was giving off! After wearing this for a full day my under eye’s looks so pale I almost looked sick and the texture of the powder was just something odd. It’s almost so finely milled and so smooth that it feels like it just mushes on my skin. This just didn’t cute it for me this month.

TonyMoly; Painting Therapy Pack; Black Sebum Control                    Full Size $ 6.50

I haven’t had a chance to try this out yet but I always love getting masks in my different subscriptions because it makes for a nice break up of the normal routine! According to the TonyMoly site though this mask has bamboo and charcoal in it that helps extract impurities and breaks down dead skin. I’m hopping to give this a try and hopefully have an update to this post before it goes live!

This concluded my Ipsy bag for the month of May! I really love Ipsy and I find it amazing the variety of products and items we receive all for only $10 a month! I can’t wait to see what comes next month!

Thanks for stopping by and keep an eye out for what might be up around the curve!

Poshmark Haul!

If you haven’t heard of Poshmark you are a lucky soul because once you download the app and start shopping it’s addicting and the deals are amazing! Poshmark is a community of people who are buying and selling the latest and greatest fashions. I had seen a lot of adds for them and what finally made me log in and give it a go was when I watched a YouTube video talking about their experience shopping on Poshmark and all of the great deals they got! I though well I’ll give it a look just to see if I can find anything firstly in my size and secondly worth getting.

Boy was I surprised to find all different styles, all different sizes and all kinds of amazing deals! I had to really rein myself in and limit to what I purchased other wise I could have spent a lot of money in just the first week! But the nice thing is you can “heart” or “like” items and keep track of them for price drops or the seller can send you special offers on that item. That is how I have purchase most of my items was when I received an offer from the seller for discounted shipping and a lower price! It also allows you counter offer back or even make offers on items to the seller which is really nice. There is a base rate of shipping for $6.49 unless the seller offers a discount.

Let me show you the items I got and then we will talk about the shipping process and the over all experience I’ve had so far!

This is a blue fitted dress from Torrid that I got for $16.99 (including shipping). Can you believe that deal?! I mean how adorable is this dress! Now I’m not usually a big fan of getting fitted dresses but I am really working on my body confidence and I really love the color blocking and how it creates a slimming look! The black belt around the waist also helps to give me more shape! This dress was in like new condition and only had one small snag that I noticed the second time I wore it but that isn’t super visible or noticeable.

This is another dress from Torrid ( I really like to search for the Torrid brand because I know I like the fit of that brand of clothes.) This dress I absolutely fell in love with when I saw it and I knew I just had to have it! I still did way for the seller to offer a deal on it with discounted shipping. So I got this dress for $21.49 (including shipping). I did end up paying the full price on shipping but the awesome young lady I bought this from found a small stain on the lining when she was getting it ready to ship and let me offer a lower price which I was super appreciative of! The stain is on the inside that no one but me would see and isn’t even that bad so I was really thankful for her honesty and transparency with this purchase!

And surprise another piece from Torrid! This is a fun and sassy Sequin Peplum Tube Top. I got this for $26.99, again a total bargain! (Please don’t mind my closed eyes in the first photo-taking my own pictures can be a struggle some days haha) This top is so much fun! I am hopping to find a fun bright pair of pants to go with it to wear for a fun night out! This top has a full zipper in the back making it easy to get on and off and not struggling (which can happen when your a big girl). The only concern I have with this top when I wear it is how low cut it seems to me but that’s an insecurity I’m just going to have to get past because this is too damn cute not to wear!

The three pieces I have already received were so fast! I mean within 2 days it was in the mail to me and the shipping is really fast as well. I think the longest I have had to wait was 3 days. Currently I also have two other orders I have made that I am waiting to ship. One said that she would be putting in the mail today while the other I have yet to hear from. This is the first time I have had a small issue with a seller so I think it just might be a one off situation where the seller might not be actively watching their items. The nice thing with Poshmark is they send a reminder to the seller that the item has been purchased and need to ship it out. They also allow you to cancel the order if it hasn’t shipped within 3-5 business days! I think this is awesome for situations like this one.

Now the only downside to Poshmark is that you cannot return items to the seller if they are the wrong size so you do risk something not fitting if the size listed doesn’t run true. I have been pretty lucky so far with these in my size but I also know what size I wear at Torrid so it make it much easier! But the bonus to this is you can always turn around and resell the item to get your money back!

Overall I think Poshmark is awesome! It’s a fantastic community of people who share a love of fashion! I keep my eyes out for great deals and can’t wait to show you another haul soon!

Let me know if you all use Poshmark! What deals have you gotten on there?

Thank you for stopping by and keep an eye out for what might be up around the curve!

Wedding Wednesday : May 2018

We are in May already and here is the May edition of Wedding Wednesday!

This month I wanted to toss out the top 5 most important lists to make before the big day and that should be handed off to your wedding coordinator or person in charge of helping make the big day get off without a hitch!

So with out further ado the top 5 lists to have ready for the big day!

1. Song List

The song list is pretty important depending on how your planning on your reception being run. If you book a DJ they will most likely prompt you for this list because they are wanting make sure they have everything that you want for the big day. It’s also key to book a DJ that has the music style you want too(if you choose to go the route of a DJ). If you are having a friend do the music you’ll want to make sure they have the list of not only all of the important songs but also the songs that you want to dance the night away too. I worked on this one for about a month to make sure I not only had all the songs I wanted but also some that my now husband wanted. This music also sets the tone for the rest of the evening after the formalities so work on this one constantly.

2. Photo List

This is probably one of the most important lists you will make for the big day! A list of photo’s that you want on the big day! Any idea’s you have seen on pintrest or the internet that you know you want on from your wedding WRITE IT DOWN! Pictures are the longest lasting memories from your wedding and this is why it’s crucial to write down all of the different shots you want taken! This is the one regret I have is that we didn’t get all of the photo’s that I wanted because I forgot to bring my list with me. And this brings me to my next point make sure that your coordinator has all of these lists to make sure that everything stays on track and runs smoothly! Photographers also love when you are prepared with a list because then they know the direction you are looking for and are ready to accommodate you and make the best of the time you have to take photo’s.

3. Family List

This is one that I figured out after not only my wedding but coordinating my first wedding! When there is a large family it makes life so much easier when there is a list of them all! This is also helpful when it comes to family photo time because I will tell you right now family photo’s are like herding cats….practically impossible! Having their names written down makes for and easier time when it comes to running through family photos and when you need to make sure people are where they are supposed to be! And sometimes a family list is needed when there is people who can’t sit together or who don’t get along or who might cause a scuffle when they want their diva moment and by knowing who these people are it makes it possible to avoid these things because we can get timing just right that they don’t have the option for their diva moment.

4. Important People Contact List

Another really great list to is a contact list for all the main contact people. I always like to have this as a wedding coordinator so that I can contact the people I need to when setting up and getting things ready.  People I like to see on this list are the caterer, photographer, DJ, venue contact, mother of the bride, mother of the groom, cake person, décor person, etc. Basically anyone that might try to contact the bride on the big day with something that needs to be done. This will help to alleviate the stress from the bride on the big day! Because after all it’s supposed to be fun and happy and there is no need to be stressing over other ridiculous things.

5. Borrowed Things List

This one is more for if you have décor or items you are borrowing from friends and family to help keep costs down on the wedding. This makes it nice so you know who’s items belong to who and where they need to go at the end of the day! We did this for my sisters wedding because many of the items we had were borrowed from one person or another and the list was nice to keep things straight! This one isn’t as important as the other listed above but it does make fore a more seamless clean up when the bride who has planned everything isn’t there at the end of the night tearing down.

That wraps up another Wedding Wednesday Top 5! I really hope if you are a bride to be or if you are a amateur wedding coordinator like myself that you find these posts helpful to relive stress before the big day!

What’s In My Bag!?

Do you ever wonder what people carry around that helps them get through their day to day life?

I’m an avid YouTube junkie and I always love to watch the “What’s in my bag?” video’s. It’s intriguing to see how other people pack things and what they consider necessities to get through everyday, travel or specific events!

So I’m adopting the idea for my blog!

Here is what I carry everyday in my bag!

img_0881I recently got this bag at Shopko. It was on sale at 50% off making it only $25 so I couldn’t resist this adorable floral bag. Now it does look super yellow in this photo but it has more of a cream background to all of the flowers. I love carrying a tote back and as we go through all I carry with me you’ll understand why!

This bag is by Envision Studio and is the Floral Tote Handbag.

Now for what I carry with me everyday.

So to start there is the necessities check book, wallet, sunglasses, keys and of course hand lotion! I like to change my lotion with the seasons so that this moment I have Bath and Body Work’s “Pretty as a Peach”. It’s one of my favorite summer scents!

What seems to take up the most room in my purse is my stationary addition to planners and notebooks! The large 2018 planner I use for my meal prepping and planning for each month. I also call it my master planner as I put in all of the important dates and places and things coming up in it. This one was in my meal prepping post! Next up we have my budget book! This I recently started so that my husband and I can really focus on paying down our debts and getting ahead on our bills to set us up for a better future! This is a really good idea to do if you are struggling with debt and trying to balance out your finances! I found that writing down what we were spending money on and really looking at it was eye opening! (I spend way to much money on coffee! #sorrynotsorry) The smaller 2018 planner is my blog planner! I use this to help me keep track of what I want to post and when I want to post it! I also have been trying to work on growing my Instagram following so I keep work on planning out my posts there as well! Check out Curvy E Chronicles on Instagram! And finally I have a small note book that I use to put my grocery lists in. This makes is so nice to keep on track with my meal prepping and planning!

Of course I also have my current book I’m reading with me so if I have time to kill or a quiet moment I break out my book and read to my little hearts content! Stay tuned for Book of the Month coming on the 1st Friday of June to hear my thoughts on this book!

And of course there are the electronic necessities! Selfie ring light for my phone that I found on Amazon for like $13, head phones, and extra cube to plug in and of course my external charger! I try not to go anywhere without all of these because you never know when you might need them!

And of course I keep a plethora of pens in my bag just so I am prepared for anything and given all of the different planners and notebooks I have how could I not be prepared with pens!

Last but certainly not least is probably my favorite part of my bag! My lipsitcks! I am a lipstick lover and I always have a good selection of colors with me just incase my mood changes throughout the day or something else strikes my fancy! I have been using my April Ipsy bag to store all of these because of how adorable it is, how great it goes with my bag and how much it can hold! Right now my favorite lip combo is my Tom Ford sample lipstick in True Coral with Marc Jacobs Mini Gloss in Some Girls!

So this is what I keep with me in my everyday bag, things I can’t leave home without! What are some things you can’t live without in your everyday bag? Do you like seeing posts like these? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Just Fab Haul!

Who loves shoes?!

If you haven’t heard of Just Fab it is fashion website that has adapted from being a monthly subscription for shoes to a membership based VIP program for so much more! When you sign up to be a VIP Member of Just Fab they give you a special introductory rate for making your first purchase. From there it’s $39.95 a month that will be charged to your card on the 6th of every month. You get a personalized “boutique” of items that they think you might enjoy adding to your wardrobe. The nice thing about Just Fab is that if the $39.95 goes into a “bank” so to speak that you can apply toward your next purchase if you want to pay the monthly charge. The even better thing is that if you don’t find any must haves that month you have from the 1st-5th of every month to skip that month and not be charged the $39.95.

I personally like to skip each month and shop the deals at my leisure or when I actually have some extra cash!

So a little while back they had some of the shoes I have been wanting go on sale for $15 each if I paid full price ($39.95) for one pair! I was sold so here is what I got!

Joselyn Pump in Blush

I am loving the thick heel style and these were a must have for me! The blush color is really nice because it goes with most everything I wear.

Clarabelle Heeled Sandal in Floral Print

These were the one’s I was most excited for! I’m not the biggest fan of how small the buckle is on the side but I just love the pattern!

Clarabelle Heeled Sandal in Black

And when you find a style that’s cute you get it in black to go with everything!

Sita Pump in Pink Mauve

These were another pair I had been waiting on getting! These are so comfortable! and the adorable bow on the back is just that little added touch!

Sita Pump in Black

Yep another one of those if you find an amazing shoe get it in black too!

All in all I absolutely love Just Fab and the shoes are actually really decent quality shoes! I also have one dress I have ordered from them and it’s the most comfortable and simple black dress I wear it all the time! I’m hoping to place another order over the summer and get some different varieties of clothes to post for a review as well!

If you have been thinking about signing up for Just Fab do it! I mean the deals are worth it all of these were $15 with the exception of one pair that I paid $39.95 (not as the monthly membership). The thing is you just have to remember to skip it every month if you don’t find anything you want! I pay all my bills on the 1st of the month so this is just another one of those things worked into my routine.

This is probably one of my favorite hauls from Just Fab so far and I can’t wait to see what deals they run over the summer!
