Boxy Charm : September 2018

Boxy Charm is $21 a month for 4-5 full size products. The box is always guaranteed to a value of $100 or more each month. They offer a wide range of brands from emerging to well known. There is a beauty quiz you can take similar to Ipsy to go over your skin tone, skin type, hair color, eye color, so on and so forth. They also offer a user friendly website to allow you to review the items in your box.

This month was completely different for Boxy Charm! They launched what’s called Boxy Luxe! This is an additional $28.99 every quarter and on top of the $21. Then every quarter we get to this upgraded box with 3 of the main products from the regular box plus 8 additional full size products!!! A total of 11 products and the estimated value is supposed to be over $300 I believe.

Now when this upgraded box launched it was terrible! The site crashed right away and the email they were supposed to send out at 9 am EST. was delayed and it was just a nightmere. A lot of subscribers were really upset but I found that if I just get trying and checking back that after two hours I finally got through and got my confirmation! I was so excited! P.S. I live on the west coast and I was up at 6 am trying to make sure I got in on this and finally just before 8 am I got in! Dedication…or crazy…you decided!

Now for the products!

img_2057

This was a bonus so to speak! Every Boxy Luxe subscriber got this adorable tote back! And believe it or not it’s a really nice quality tote. It’s not like the cheap kind of bags it’s very sturdy and a nice size as well.

Pretty Vulgar; Nightingale Smokey Eyeshadow Palette                        Retail Price $35

Pretty Vulgar has just adorable products and packaging. I love that she shadows are in the shape of the bird cage. They are also really high quality shadows! When I swatched these on my arm I was surprised at how pigmented and smooth they were! They also apply to the eyes beautifully! This kind of palette is more outside of my comfort zone with the dark and deep shades for the smokey eye’s but I love it! I have used it  few times since I got it and I think it’s stunning on the eyes!

Tarte Cosmetics; Park Ave Princess Chisel Palette                               Retail Price $45

This palette was the first sneak peak and made me the most excited for the Boxy Luxe! I have always wanted to try this out and I was so excited for it! And for good reason this face palette is stunning! The shades are creamy, buttery and apply smoothly! I haven’t used the highlight shades as much as I have used the bronzer shades but I really love the variety! There is a more pink under tone light powder and a more yellow undertone light powder, as well as two shimmer bronzers and two matte bronzers. They apply beautifully to the skin and I love the smell of tart palettes! Yes I said smell. If you ever notice they all seem to have a vanilla scent to them!

Juice Beauty; Stem Cellular Anti-Wrinkle Moisturizer                       Retail Price $70

This stuff is amazing! It’s thick and really sinks into my skin! I also love that is has a full cap pump (I didn’t take a photo of) because it allows you to not get too much and it’s really hygienic. I was so surprised to see a high quality skin care product in the box and I really love this cream! I have been using at night because I ran out of my other night mask I like and this has made my skin feel soft and supple every morning.

img_2079

Luxie; 732- Airbrush Foundation Brush        Retail Price $38

There are days when I ask myself, do I really need another brush? And then I laugh and say I need to stop being so negative! I love this brush! It’s super luxe feeling when you use it! I haven’t used it for foundation yet but I did us it to lightly try out a contour and WOW did it back on the color! Luxie has super high quality. Now that being said I really don’t think this brush is worth this price tag. There are so many other high quality options for foundation brushes out there you really don’t need this one.

img_2080

Alamar Cosmetics- Ojitos Brush Set      Retail Price $18

And look at that! More brushes!!! I love little sets like this. They are great for quick looks or for traveling. I love that Boxy Charm is working with indi-brands like Alamar! It really does say a lot about the company! These are really nice brushes and the shader brush is amazing for packing color on the lid! I have been using it non-stop since I got it! Great little eye brush set!

Smashbox- Limited Edition Photo Finish Primer Water                              Retail Price $32

Another awesome product I was so looking forward to trying! I have loved using this! I actually do notice that I don’t get super oiling in the afternoon which is surprising to me but I love it! The only thing I’m sad about is the scent I got…I got Serene Greens which stinks. Ok, ok, ok, it’s not that bad but I really don’t like the cucumber veggie smell. I really wish I would have gotten the coconut one but at least I got a chance to give this product a go!

Laura Geller- Baked Blush -N- Brighten                                               Retail Price $28

A beautiful blush! This blush is stunning! Not to mention it’s the perfect color for me! It has a beautiful pinky/peachy color with some shimmer to it! It applies really nicely to the face and I love that I can build it up if I want too. The only thing is it has a lot of kick back when I dip my brush in but I find that to be normal with baked products.

Hank & Henry- Liquid Lipstick; Shade- Petal Pusher                            Retail Price $17

I couldn’t find this lipstick on the Hank & Henry website to link. This is a really nice liquid lip. The formula doesn’t dry down super matte but it is very comfortable! I really like the shade as well. It’s the perfect transition shade from summer to fall. I also think the packaging is adorable looking like a bullet lipstick but is actually a liquid.

Sol De Janiero; Inpanema Sunset Glow Oil                                           Retail Price $35

In looking at this product online I wasn’t sure that I would like it just because it looked so dark in the packaging. But once I put a bit on the back of my hand and spread it around I was so surprised at how stunning it applied! As you can see on the back of my hand there is so much glow! I cannot wait to use this in the coming summer to apply all over my body! I also want to mention that this product is HUGE! I was not expecting this to be such a generous size but none the less it’s amazing! A great value!

img_2076

R+Co – Death Valley Dry Shampoo- Travel Size Retail Price $17

Even though this isn’t a full size item it is still a really great size! I have only used this a couple of times but it works well as a dry shampoo! There is a slight fragrance to it but nothing too over powering! I am excited to take this with me in the coming weekends when I am out of town!

img_2078

The Vintage Cosmetic Company- Dolly Bow Make-Up Head Band          Retail Price $4.99

How stinkin’ cute is this head band! I was so excited to get this in the box! I always need something to keep my hair out of my face and this was the perfect solution! I also love that it’s pink with poka-dots!

And with that I we come to the end of the first Boxy Luxe box! I am so impressed! I feel that this was so worth the money and the wait time! Now for the over all value of the box

339.99!!!!!!

I mean wow!!! So totally worth it! I cannot wait to see what the next Boxy Luxe holds in December! What was your favorite product from your Boxy Charm this month? Did you get in on the Boxy Luxe? Leave me a comment!

Yes, Oh Yas! : September 2018

Yes, Oh Yas! is a new monthly subscription box ! They offer 3-7 full size products each month for $14.99 plus $3.99 shipping. This box allows you to discover new make up and beauty brands.

Yes, Oh Yas! actually reached out to me to become an affiliate for their subscription box.  They did give me a code to share with you all for 10% off you first box.

yesohyas.com

CODE: CURVYE

I will always keep my opinions on the products honest, true and my own.

So lets get into this months box!

img_2042

This month was themed “Believe in Unicorns”! All based on Naked Cosmetics palette.

Naked Cosmetics Holographic Highlighter                                   Retail Price $39.99

A fun palette yes. Worth the price tag no. And actually the price on the card in the box was listed as less than this so that’s a good start to this box! I do think this is a fun palette but this isn’t practical. I think it’ll be fun to create looks for Halloween which is coming up and festival season but that’s over. One thing that did surprise me was on line the photos of this palette made it seem a lot bigger than it actually is. I was thinking these were really big pan sizes and a good amount of product for the price but I was mistaken. The formula on these is really nice and the shades are very blinding-great highlights. I just don’t think this is realistic.

Chella Beauty; Matte Lipstick; Shade Wodrous Wine                                        Retail Price $20

Holy MINT! This lip pencil has such a potent mint scent it’s so difficult to look past it and see that this is a nice and smooth formula and a really beautiful color! I like that this comes off as more of a lip stain than a lipstick. It does hold up for most of the day and I really like how thin the formula is for an ever day lipstick. This color is the perfect fall color as well but I really don’t think this pencil is worth $20…I mean really you still have to sharpen it. I really don’t like Chella Products and I’m hoping all subscriptions will stop using them!

img_2051

Aesthetica Pro Brush Series; 3-Piece Eyeliner, Brow and Spoolie Set                           Retail Price $45

This set came in a different box for me a couple months ago and these are really nice brushes! I don’t think they are $45 kind of brushes but I do really like them. I don’t normally do gel liner but I do enjoy playing around with it so I find this to be fun. The spoolie is the brush I get the most use out of. From brushing through my brows to sweeping away mascara that when where it’s not supposed to the spoolie really does the trick. As for the brow brush I don’t use a brow pomade so I end up using this with eyeshadow trying out fun and goofy eye looks!

Glo Stix; Semi- Matte Liquid Lipstick; Shade Honey Bun                            Retail Price $18

This is a beautiful liquid lip! It has a really nice  mousey consistency but it applies beautifully. I’m not the biggest fan of the applicator because it’s a longer and stiffer doefoot. But other than that I really like this lipstick. It can stain a little just because it is a darker color but it wears just about the same as many of my other liquid lips. It wears off throughout the day mainly in the center with eating and drinking but that’s normal to me. I like this product but I wouldn’t write home about it or go out and purchase another one any time soon.

And with that I conclude my Yes, Oh YAS! box for the month. It wasn’t my favorite box but it did have some good items and the over al value came in much more accurate this month with a value of

$122.99

This is actually more than what they advertised and that’s because the price listed for the highlighter palette was incorrect. I still cannot figure out if they just aren’t doing the research to make sure their value and pricing is correct or if they are getting the information from the brands. Either way from month to month it has so much variation! I am holding off an giving you my link again until I can be sure they have figured this out. The link listed above is direct to the website and I do not make any money off of it or the code that they gave me. The code is strictly just for you to save some money on your first box. I hope you enjoyed this month’s box! They have already sneaked the palette for next month and I am super excited to give it a try so keep an eye out for next month!

Ipsy Review : September

For those of you who don’t know about this subscription bag it is  $10 and contain 5 deluxe size samples (and sometimes full size products)  each month.

Ipsy starts with a beauty quiz that asks you questions about different things you like as well as your different features (i.e. Blonde hair, green eyes, fair skin). Each month you also can review the products your received; so if you love something you let them know and if you hate something you let them know.

Lets get into this months bag!

img_2030

The bag this month was a super cute black and champagne colored canvas material with these adorable lashes on them! I think this is super adorable!

Now for the products!

img_2031

The Crème Shop; 2-in-1 Facial Foaming Cleanser

Cleansers are fun to get in bags to try out and see how you like them. I always enjoy the ones that foam up because I like that I can see it working on my face. The Crème Shop offers a few different options for this facial cleanser and this one happens to be the brightening version. I find it hard to really give thoughts on skin care just because it takes time to really make a difference in how my skin looks so I will use this and maybe update later on if this is really great or really terrible for that matter.

img_2036

Luxie Beauty; #140 Tappered Blender

YAY! for another brush! This is a unique brush for my collection as I don’t normally gravitate toward these kind of blenders but I am always down to give it a shot. Luxie is a super nice brand and this brush alone is $20 so that in itself makes Ipsy so worth it!

Benefit Cosmetic’s; Hoola Matte Bronzer

I was so excited to get this in the bag this month. I have always wanted to give this bronzer a try but never wanted to spend the full amount on it. This is a really nice sample too coming in this cute plastic, snap closure packaging. The formula on this is really nice and smooth and creamy. And a little bit goes a really long way which I appreciate because this sample will last me some time! The only thing I’m not liking about this is that it does come off a little orangey/warm on my skin. I think this might because I’m starting to pale out now that we are in the fall weather but I will still use it. It applies beautifully to the skin and lasts through out the day!

Trestique; Mini Lip Glaze; Shade- Mumbai Magenta

In past months we have gotten pencils from Trestique before and they are really nice and creamy. I think this is a super fun color but kind of wish I would have gotten the other color option because it was more of a dark berry color which I love to wear in the fall. This is fun but will be more of a spring/summer color for me.

img_2032

Elizabeth Mott; Thank Me Later Mattifying Face Primer

I enjoy trying out new primers and this one is really nice! I was so impressed with how this actually keeps my face semi matte through out the day and I was pleasantly surprised that my foundation around my nose and mouth didn’t break up like it can during the day sometimes. This does have a silicony consistency which I’m not totally a fan of but I really like this and it was nice to take with me while I was traveling this last weekend!

And that concludes my Ipsy glam bag for the month of September! I really love my bag this month! Ipsy has been one of my favorite subscriptions and it just keeps getting better. They even announced that in the coming future they are releasing a full size product box that will be $25 a month. I’m not sure if I want to get that one too but I will think about it and let you all know when it becomes available.

What did you get in your bag this month? Have you seen the new full size box that’s supposed to come out? Are you going to subscribe? Leave me a comment below!

Morphe Haul Pt.2 : September 2018

Alright who is ready for Part 2 of our Morphe Haul?

So to my surprise just after Jaclyn Hill and Morphe announced the launch of the Vault collection palettes they also came out with the Master Collection Brush set!

.^.^.^._______.^.^.^.

Yes my heart skipped a beat and I almost passed out!

Yes I probably don’t need any more brushes and yes this might seem excessive to add to my collection but I honestly couldn’t resist! These brushes are beautiful and honestly this just helps so I’m not having to wash brushes every week!

So for this collection there were three options:

  • The Master Collection – 24 brushes for $165
  • The Master Face Collection- 5 face brushes for $58
  • The Master Eye Collection- 8 eye brushes for $48

There was also the option to buy the glitter carrying cases separately. But as you can imagine these sold out quickly as the quantity was limited.

I got the full collection along with a few other items on my wish list. So lets dive right in!

img_1890

Can we just have a moment for this brush holder?…

If you are a sparkle lover like I am then you are having my same reaction! This set is incredible!

They also came in really nice and protected packaging.

img_1892

Now lets take a look at the brushes!

img_1919

We’ll start with the face brushes as these are the bigger brushes and have the most difference to them.

img_1893

JH 01

This first brush is a huge powder brush! I love how fluffy this one is and how soft it feels. This brush is similar to one that they have in the Elite collection. I love to use this for dusting powder all over my face, dusting off excess powder or blending all of my powders on my face together. These big fat brushes are some of my favorites!

img_1894

JH 02

I’m pretty sure I have a similar brush from Morphe like this one but it’s still a fantastic bronzer brush. The nice thing about this one is that not only is it slightly tapered it also is big and diffuses bronzer nicely around the face.

img_1895

JH 03

I love that this set came with a foundation brush- even though it’s similar to the Morphe M439 this one is a little bit longer bristles. I normally am not the type to apply my foundation with a brush but this one is really nice to use for foundation.

img_1896

JH 04

I love to use this brush for blush! It’s got a nice angle to it on the end that makes it really nice for sweeping color onto the cheeks.

img_1897

JH 05

This brush is one that Jaclyn put a lot of time and effort into developing and she say’s it’s the perfect contour brush. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet for that but it is a really nice brush, soft and compact. In the photo it looks more compact just because I have just taken it out of the package and I hadn’t had a chance to fluff it out. I am excited to give this a go.

img_1898

JH 06

Now this brush is a different one for me. I need to re-watch Jaclyn’s video to remember the exact use for this one but I’m not sure what exactly I will use it for just yet. This is a really nice brush with a flexible tapered end to it.

img_1899

JH 07

Boujie! This brush is what I like to call the boujie brush because it’s made specifically to sweep away back from under the eyes. Now I’m sure it can be used for anything else but for what it was created for  I just giggle at because that’s just an extra brush that isn’t totally necessary. But I’ll use it anyway!

img_1900

JH 08

This cute little thing is the smaller version of the JH 03 foundation brush and is really nice for blending out concealer if your looking for a brush to do that. I personally love using a sponge but this is a really nice option as well!

img_1901

JH 09

AHHH! The coveted highlighter brush! This is the exact brush as the Morphe M510, just labeled in her collection. And honestly when a brush is as great as this there’s not need to change it! I would have been shocked if she hadn’t added this one to her collection! I am so in love with this highlighting brush this is the 3rd one I will own.

img_1902

JH 10

A unique brush for sure this one is really nice for cleaning up contour with loose powder, contour the nose, and as Jaclyn uses it to help keep eyeshadow where you want it without ruining your foundation!

All of these face brushes are really high quality and easy to use. I love adding face brushes to my collection from sets like these because most often it’s far more expensive to buy them individually or on their own than it is to buy the full set.

Now for the eye brushes!

img_1917

With these I can break them into three groups-blending, pencil and definer brushes.

Top L-JH30 and JH31 below; Top R-JH32; Bottom L-JH33; Bottom R-JH34 and JH 35 below.

The blending brushes are probably my favorite. Jaclyn is a really big fan of natural hair when it comes to blending out eyeshadow and I have found that these brushes really pack on pigment and make for a beautiful blown out smoky eye. Each of these provides a different job but I really love each of them. I really like that some of these are made with longer bristles because it makes for a super blown out look!

Top L- JH36; Top R-JH37; Center-JH38; Bottom L-JH39; Bottom R-JH40

This group of pencil brushes offered some additions to my collection that I haven’t tried before. Jaclyn uses these a lot to either be precise or to smoke out the lower lash line. I personally haven’t been very adventurous with my bottom lash line just because it’s not a technique that I am particularly comfortable with but my goal with these new tools is try it out more often and really see what I can do to accomplish a fun blown out smoky eye look! That and now I can start adding more pops of color on my lower lash line!

Left- JH41; Top R-JH42; Bottom R- JH 43

The final three brushes in the eye brushes are what I would like to call the definers of the set. The JH 41 is created very similar to the Mac 242 which is a cult favorite for packing shadow on the lid, and I do have to say it’s super nice and really packs the color on! The JH 42 is a really small flat shader that is super nice for highlighting the inner corners or highlight the brow bone. The petite nature of this brush really makes it fit nicely in the inner corners and all of those tight places for detail work. The final brush in the collection is the JH43 which is a flat definer brush. This one is really nice for adding color the lash line both upper and lower or making any kind of defined line.

Over all this collection would be great for any one who is looking for a high quality set of brushes that will take care of every aspect of the make up journey. I know I will get use out of each and every one of these brushes and I am excited to continue to use this whole set! I highly recommend Morphe brushes as they are really nice and this set not only covers everything but is super pretty to look at!

Now while I was making an order I decided to add a few extra items I had been wanting to try so I thought I would share those extras with you all!

I have heard rave reviews about these sponges so I decided to finally give them a try. These sponges are only $7 each which is a big difference from the $20 for a beauty blender. I have been using these since I got them and I love them! They get pretty big with water and make for super easy make up application! I have loved using both of them! I have found the darker one is my favorite for foundation because it allows for more surface coverage! But I really love both of these and they don’t seem to soak up a lot of product. I will be buying more of these in the future!

img_1922

Another item I have wanted to try out for some time is one of their brush cleaning solids partly because I’ve wanted to see how well it works and partly because I am out of my Sigma brush cleaner. I haven’t had a chance to sit down and really give this a shot but it smells amazing! It has the most soft sweet coconut smell that I have been loving!

img_1923

And of course the final item I got was another continuous setting spray mist. I absolutely love this stuff ! If you haven’t tried it yet now is as good a time as any to jump on the ban wagon! It’s incredible!

And with that I conclude my Morphe Haul Pt. 2. I really love this brush collection and everything I got in in this shipment! I always love adding to my collection and getting high quality items that I know will last! I hope you enjoyed this part two of my haul!

Thank you for stopping by and keep an eye out for what might be up around the curve!

Take a Moment…

This month I am skipping wedding Wednesday. Partly because I have forgotten what topic I wanted to cover (forgot to write it down) and partly because I think at some point we all need the reminder that we need to slow down and take a moment.

I think we sometimes forget that even in the midst of things we still need to take a moment and enjoy the simple things. All to often we can get caught up in the next project, the next job, the next weekend and it can lead to waiting our lives away.

img_2115

I find sometimes that I get into this very rut. Waiting for the next weekend. Wishing it was Friday and then watching Saturday and Sunday fly by in a blink. It’s hard to remember to just take a moment to breath in the fresh fall air. To enjoy the sun rise. or to take a moment and just be.

Even though this is short and sweet today I’m hoping this finds you and reminds you to take a moment to just be, smell the flowers, smell the coffee, watch the sun rise, watch the sun set, feel the slight chill in the air, feel the wind through your hair. Make a promise to yourself that you will take a moment.img_2117

After all it sometimes only takes one moment of clarity can lead to a better day and a better life.

An Open Letter To My Sash Sister

Dear Sash Sister,

I hope your doing well!

I feel like it’s been so long since we last saw each other! I have missed you and the time img_2096we spent together. A year goes by so fast but every adventure over the year wouldn’t be the same for me without you there, along for the ride. From one destination to the next, luncheons to late night talks, posed photo’s to silly faces and miles upon miles, we shared so many smiles, laughs and maybe even a few tears. We grew together over the year supporting, challenging and encouraging one another to be the best versions of ourselves and to remember the bigger picture when things got tough.

img_1872

I remember all of the times laughing so hard our guts hurt, we started to wheeze and clap our hands like seals all because of one phrase or joke that would last throughout the rest of the year as OUR inside joke. I  remember all of the hugs when it had been too long between appearances and we finally were reunited and “it felt so good”. I remember miscommunications leading to silly disputes and periods of silence between us. I remember walking the many, many circles in warm up just chatting and laughing and checking out a cowboy or two. I remember staying out too late staring at the stars talking about what we wanted in life and what was next after our year. I remember the dances that always ended in stepped on toes and wall flower dance moves (because Shake and Bake isn’t just for dinner).  It’s hard to forget all of those good times!

I didn’t believe I would meet friends like you and I didn’t believe that this really would be so life changing. But it really has been! Because of my time with you my  self img_2102confidence has grown. I have found my voice. I have learned a new perspective. I have tried things I normally would have passed by. I have experienced life to the fullest because you said, “Come on! Let’s Go!”. I have been to places I never would have dreamed of because of your crazy ideas!

I know we haven’t talked much and it’s hard to keep in touch now that we are out in the wide open world but I want you to know I am creepy stalking you on Facebook and Instagram, I’m loving your photo’s and posts, I’m praying for you in goodimg_1863 times and bad, I’m your biggest fan from afar and want nothing but the best for you. I want you to know that I love you and think of you often. I want you to know that I am always here for you when your in my neck of the woods and need a couch to crash on. I want you to know I am always down to grab a late dinner, an early coffee, watch your next run when I can, watch you marry the love of your life (we all knew he wasn’t your cousin) (see there’s another inside joke), be there when you’re brining a mini-you into the world, be there when you need me most because we are sisters!

img_1798

When our predecessors said “This is going to be the best year of your life!,” we all know we didn’t totally believe them. But looking back it really was the best time of our lives! Nothing can replace the year we had together! Now we just sit back and reminisce on the good old days. To quote the song “Good Old Days” by Macklemore

“I wish somebody would have told me babe, Some day, these will be the good old days…

Someday soon, your whole life’s gonna change, You’ll miss the magic of these good old days.”

Love always,

Your Sash Sister

Posh Mark Haul : September 2018

I am so excited to bring up another Posh Mark haul for you all! If you haven’t had a chance to check our Posh Mark you need to! It’s an incredible sight to find all kinds of great deals on! Over the last couple months I have found a few of these great deals and wanted to share with you all again! I’ll also leave the link to my 1st Posh Mark haul here– so you can check out about how it works and all of that good stuff!

This month I got another two sets of shoes!

First up are these Steve Madden’s! Yes that’s right I got another pair of Steve Madden shoes at a fraction of the price! These were never worn. They were significantly discounted do to a chunk out of inside right heel. It’s about a dime size chunk but when you are wearing them you would have to point it our for someone to notice. I got these adorable shoes for $30.49 including shipping. Incredible right! The thing I love about Posh Mark is you can find those pieces you need for an outfit at a great price. I bought these because I have a really cute camel colored vest that would match so well with these for the fall season! I’m just so excited to have another pair of Steve Madden’s!

The second set of shoes I got this round are these super cute and simple navy blue Lauren Conrad heels. I got these for $21.99 including discounted shipping. I have been looking for a cute pair of navy heels for a few outfits that really needed matching shoes! I normally wear black but sometimes it’s just throws off the whole look so I have been trying to find some cute navy shoes. These are the ones I stumbled upon first and I really like them. The heel is slightly higher than I normally go for but I do really like them. The toes strap fits comfortably as does the ankle strap.

When I have an outfit idea in my head I always try to find great pieces to make it come true. This shirt I was getting to go under my camel vest with the Steve Madden pumps listed about. Now when I saw it online I loved it…when I put it on I’m not totally sold just yet but I think it’s a matter of getting it to sit right on my shoulders. I was draw a lot to the bell sleeves which I am totally a fan of and that are really trending right now. This top is Eloquii and  was new, never worn with tags still and I only paid $20 including shipping. Another steal that I am so proud of! I do like the stretch this top has and the bright white but getting the right fit will be an adjustment.

This next top I bought was a dress coat. I was looking at different blazers and sweaters and stumbled upon this adorable pink dress coat from Dress Barn. I loved the black piping along the front and the fit of the shorter sleeve. This jacket is really nice to put on top of any of my work outfit. And I really like how comfortable it is! I got this jacket for $12.99 including discounted shipping which was a win in my book! I really love finding all of these fun pieces to add to my wardrobe and create fun outfits!

And with that I conclude my second Posh Mark Haul! I am hoping one day soon I can share with you an awesome designer bag as I have had my eye on a few of them! Like I said above if you haven’t had a chance to check out Posh Mark  you really should! It’s an incredible site to get some amazing deals!

Until the next haul!

Just Fab Haul : September 2018

Just Fab is such a fun site and I love all of the options for shoes that they offer!

If you haven’t heard of Just Fab or want any more information on how it all works I will link my first haul here, so you can check it out and get all the details! I absolutely love this site and have found some of my most favorite shoes on here fore pretty inexpensive! This most recent haul was an end of summer sandal clearance in which I got all of these for only $15 each! I highly recommend checking out Just Fab and becoming a VIP member!

Now for the shoes!

Jacey Cylinder Heeled Sandal

These were heels I just couldn’t pass up on this sale. When I first was scrolling through I was a little hesitant to purchase them just going into the end of summer but I thought they would be perfect for the coming spring and summer. These have a smaller heel on them which I really enjoy. The biggest down side to these sandals is the small ankle strap. My ankles aren’t the smallest things but these are impossible to get buckled around my ankle which is discouraging. The other thing I really don’t like is the buckle on these is pretty cheap. Normally if I can get the little lip of the strap into the buckle I can squeeze it onto my ankle but these just don’t allow that to happen. I still really like these and I’m hoping I can fiddle with them enough to figure out how to get them around my ankle!

Caged Cutie Cut-Out Heeled Sandal

These are my new favorite sandal to wear! I am in love with them! They are actually comfortable even with the small heel! I wore these out for a bachelorette party one night and by the end of the night my feet were only slightly sore and I could still walk back to the hotel without having to stop. I was so impressed! I absolutely love the cutouts on these and the really open wide toe. These also have a zipper closure on the inside of the foot which makes them super easy to put on and super secure on the foot. I really love how comfortable these sandals are and will wear these until they can be worn no more!

Flower Power Block Heeled Sandal

When I first saw these I wasn’t too sure about them because they seemed to have a higher heel than I normally go for but they looked super comfortable and I really loved how they tie in the back at the heel which makes them easy to put on! So naturally when they came in not only black but blush I had to get them in both colors! I do really like the fit but they are slightly tighter around the ball of my foot. If you can see the bands that go up the whole of the shoe the one around the ball of my foot could use some stretching. But I really like the tie at my heel it’s nice because I can adjust how loose or tight I need these to be! I will have to break these in a little more but I can see these being one of my summer favorite shoes!

And with that I conclude my latest Just Fab haul! I didn’t get to many this time but I really did like that all of these were on sale for only $15! I mean that was a sale I couldn’t pass up!

Morphe Haul Pt. 1: September 2018

If you follow along with anything in the world of make up and beauty I’m sure you have seen or heard about the launch of the Jaclyn Hill Vault Collection in collaboration with Morphe Cosmetics! The reviews have been good, bad and indifferent but I have been a huge fan of Jaclyn Hill for a long time so I had to pick these up and review them! She is one of the first You Tubers I ever started watching and she has been someone I admire in the beauty community!

So lets take a look at this gorgeous new collection!

The outside packaging is really nice and clean looking! The palettes came wrapped in double bubble wrap which I totally appreciate. I wanted to show in a photo how nicely they took care with packaging! There is nothing more comforting knowing they are taking the time to make sure they make it to me in one piece!

The palette collection is housed in this sturdy cardboard box that provides a ribbon to help with easy removal of the palettes. I really like how this displays the palettes as well because you can see the names of each palette as each one is a different color story. There are also some colored confetti to help differentiate between each palette but that is hard to see in my photos.

Now we will dive into each palette! A couple of the palettes for me are stretch to play with because they are colors outside of my comfort zone! I’m not the most adventurous with “unconventional” colors but I like that I can restrict myself to using only one palette and therefore try out new looks! So lets get into these beautiful palettes!

Armed and Gorgeous

img_1811

Oranges, yellows and gold’s oh my! This one has a fantastic pop of green in it along with some spectacular sparkle and I absolutely love it! This is one I have to stretch with because I’m not the most adept with using yellow’s and oranges or greens for that matter!

Dark Magic

img_1812

I have to say this is the most out there palette for me and I haven’t had a chance to play around with it yet but I really love the different shades of green with the pop of blue and the spectacular silver! I am hoping to post a look with each palette!

Ring the Alarm

img_1808

Hello comfort zone! This has been the palette I have used the most since I got these in the mail and I absolutely love it! It’s stunning! The only problem I’m having with this one is that the shimmers are more subtle than I was expecting. Now this could easily be attributed to the inconsistency’s in the palettes but it also might just be how the shadow is supposed to be. Regardless I still love this palette.

Bling Boss

By far my favorite palette of the bunch! The cranberries, the red, the pop of purple along with the stunning shimmer lid shades! It’s just a stunning palette! I have only dipped into this one once but it’s everything I could have wanted! I love it! I can’t wait to show you all a look I create with this palette!

img_1813

I’m in love with this whole collection! Even though there are some inconsistencies that have been reported I don’t feel like I got bad palettes by any means. I love each of them and I am excited to really jump out of my comfort zone!

The final item I got was the Morphe Continuous Spray Setting Mist! This is my first time trying this out and I have to say I am hooked! It’s incredible! I don’t know if I have loved a setting spray so much before! If you haven’t tried this put it on your wish list or in your cart and pull the trigger! It’s incredible!

This wraps up the first part of my recent Morphe haul! I have another one coming up for you! I am also really excited to start playing with the fun colors and to post some fun looks for you!

Have you tried out these palettes? What do you think about them? Leave me a comment!

Book of The Month : September 2018

When I made my Barnes & Noble order back in June I stumbled across this newer release that looked perfect for what I have been in to reading currently and with a title like Girl, Wash Your Face,  how could I not be drawn in!

Even in reading the Introduction for the book I was hook! Rachel Hollis is witty, funny and REAL! Reading just the short introduction made me feel like I was talking to a friend and getting the full honest thoughts from her. I was sold and included this in my order.

If you haven’t heard of this awesome book then here is your first introduction!

This is me telling you to go out and get this book whether you read it in book form, on your electronic device or listen to it as an audio book, this is something great for all women to read!

I love how raw and real Rachel is throughout the entire book and each chapter is all about lies we tell ourselves and how this is so detrimental to each of our journeys to happiness.

One of the biggest chapters that resonated with me was in the very beginning of the book highlighting the lie: ” I’ll Start Tomorrow”. The moment I read this I couldn’t help but think of how true this is for me and how I say this all the time to myself! I always set my self start dates and when it doesn’t work out or when I get to that point and I don’t want to any more I extend it out and so the “I’ll Start Tomorrow” lie becomes an ever revolving cycle! In the chapter Rachel really lays it out bluntly and honestly- if we can break our promises with ourselves so easily then how can we keep promises to other-our friends, our family members, our kids.

Let that sink in for a minute.

If we can break our promises with ourselves so easily then how can we keep promises to other-our friends, our family members, our kids.

That is a profound idea that really stuck out to me and struck a cord with me! Because it was so true! And then I thought about all of the times that I have ditched on plans and made up excuses not to go see friends or help with different events or anything of that sort because I just didn’t want to. That was because I had created a habit of breaking promises with myself and now it was trickling over because that was the learn standard I was setting for myself! After reading that I sat for a long time just considering how incredible this idea is and how I needed to make some changes in my life and you better bet I started with me first and I am happy to report that I have been to the gym every day this week and I am head to an event this weekend where I don’t know a lot of people because I told my friend I would go-so damn it I’m going!

This book as even more to offer and I highly, highly, highly recommend this to any young lady struggling with the lies that we all tell ourselves!

Remember you can create your own happiness and you have control of your life!

Have you read this great read from Rachel Hollis? What did you think? What was your favorite part? Leave me a comment and let me know!
