Just Your Average Cliché : New Year, New Me

If you have been following along recently to the Curvy E Chronicles you may have noticed that I have taken a few weeks off. A lot of this was due to real life getting crazy and making it challenging to get time to sit and be creative and really use this space to write about those things that make my heart and soul soar!

It was also nice to take some time to spend with my family for the holiday’s but now I am ready to hit the ground running, setting goals and taking names! As years go by I find myself thinking more and more about goals I want to set for myself and really planning out how I will make those goals happen!

In the last few weeks I have taken the time to start planning out some new posts I want to get up and share, I have changed the look of the Curvy E Chronicles, I am working on getting better visual content to share here and on my Instagram, I am planning and planning and getting ready for a fresh start with 2019!

As you can see from the title of this I am fully embracing the cliché of “New Year, New Me!”  Yes, this seems to be the ridiculous sentiment that so many people adopt for the first month or so of the new year. A lot of people fall off the wagon as soon as things get hard and don’t stick with their goals because the process and road to reach those goals is filled with twist, bumps, bends and curves. It’s a challenging process to change yourself for the better but why not start it out on the best foot possible?

One thing I ask you all to think about is how much have you changed over the last year? What changes have you made in your life? Were they positive or negative changes? With the positive changes, do you continue to carry those with you year to year? Have the negative changes do they continue to affect all of you choices?

The whole point I am trying to make is that we all change regardless of our goals from year to year.  We change whether we want to or not based on our personal experiences, our environments and external stimulus that comes with each day.  So why not take the opportunity to set yourself some goals to start the next year of your life out right? A new year brings new opportunities and new chances! Setting your goals for the new year will help to guide you toward what you really want.

Of course there will be trials and tribulations, there will be mountains to climb, rivers to wade through and moments of absolute clarity that make the journey toward your goals worth every step. So don’t let any one get you down about expressing “New Year, New Me!” In fact scream it from the mountain tops! Embrace it! Flaunt it!

It’s a New Year and it’s time to embrace the change of being a New You!

I hope you set some amazing goals for yourself! However big or small they might be take a moment to write down a couple or a whole page of goals! Make this next year one to rival all of the last! Now is a good a time as any and what every you have written down on paper is obviously incredibly important to you to be in the front of you mind so why night dive in head first and achieve that goal you have in front of you!

Embrace a new you! We all change no matter what make your change this year the best one yet!

And if you ask me I will most enthusiastically say  “New Year, New Me!” because I am changing and I am ready to make my dreams into goals and my goals into reality!

Who’s with me?

Thank you for stopping by and keep an eye out for what might be up around the curve!
