1 Step Forward 2 Steps Back

I started the year with every intention of going right back to my posting schedule of Monday, Wednesday, Friday but as we can all see I flopped the last couple of weeks. A lot of this has been work filling up my entire days and getting life back to “normal after the holidays” when I get home filling up the rest of the time!This time of year is also hard for me because I tend to get seasonal depression and get really tired so you add all of that together with a busy work load and I’ve been a zombie. Even my husband was asking if everything was ok. Which is saying something if he has noticed my lagging!

But I have been taking some steps to help me get through the winter blahs! I started taking a vitamin D+K supplement that is supposed to help but like any supplement it takes time to really work into my system.  I’ve been taking it for about 10 days now and I’m hoping here soon I’ll start to see some improvements. The next thing I’m going to do is scheduling more time for myself to get the things I want to done! I set myself a goal to hit the gym three times a week and I have yet to do that. I set myself a goal to meal prep and I have yet to do that! I set myself a goal to hit 150 posts and at the rate I’m going I’ll be lucky to get 100.

You get my point! It’s time to cut the excuses, make todo lists, stick to the goals and keep them all in the forefront! I know we all have points when we fall back or fall down but what is important is how you get back up and hit the ground running!

I really appreciate all of you who follow along on this crazy adventure that is life with me! I have said and will say this year will be the best year yet! I just know it!

  1. In regards to working out, I work out 7 days a week at home for 30 minutes at least everyday. If you are lacking motivation to go to the gym, you could always workout at home instead of skipping exercise all together. I don’t live close to a gym and exercising everyday boosts my mood. Yesterday, I was lacking motivation, because I was tired (around that time of the month). I forced myself to start my workout and within 5 minutes I was happy that I did. I did the full 30 minutes and felt great afterwards. I’m thinking about starting a fitness journey on my blog, since I have started this a month ago and I have noticed serious improvements. Look forward to seeing more posts when you can. 🙂

    1. Thanks so much for sharing! I actually am very lucky and have a gym right across from where I work! I just have been wiped out from a crazy work schedule and haven’t gotten back into the swing of things!
