Boxy Charm : July 2019 Follow Up

This is something new I have wanted to try out with my Boxy Charm box’s each month now that I am only getting on subscription box a month. I have found that getting a good vibe on a product is hard in the first week of using it to be able to add in a review with my unboxing each month, so I’m going to be starting monthly follow ups! I hope you enjoy!

As a reminder these are the products I received in my July Boxy Charm.

Lets start with the Luna by Luna Gloss:

I have been on the gloss bandwagon for this year and I love that it is all the rage! The hard thing with gloss is finding the right formula and I have to say this one has a really good formula. I like that there is no stick, so my lips aren’t constantly getting stuck together. I also really like the shade on this one. It’s a subtle warm pink with the slightest purple/blue reflect in it. The really nice thing about the reflect is that you can’t tell once it’s on the lips unless you are looking super close. The glint is subtle and I really like wearing this both on top of my lipsticks and on it’s own for a subtle no make up make up look.

Next up there is the Elemis Super Food Vital Veggie Mask:

I love getting the higher end skin care brands in the box because it gives me a chance to try out something I normally wouldn’t purchase for myself. I also like getting masks because it’s not something you have to use all the time to really get a feel for it. This mask really makes my skin feel soft and smooth. I feel like this is a very gentle mask and I like how my skin feels after using it, however the smell this has is too much for me. I can’t quite put my finger on what it is about the smell that gets me but there’s almost a perfume type scent that I have a hard time getting past. I have seen a few reviews of people relating the smell to being very spa like but for me this is just too much.

The main attraction, the Butter London Natural Goddess Eye Palette:

Butter London is a newer brand to me but it’s winning in my book. This palette is pigmented and buttery! The only wish I have for it would be to have one matte transition shade just to help create a full eye look. But other than that I am impressed with how stunning the shimmers apply and how easy the two matte shades are to blend! This was a for sure win in the box this month!

The Koh Gen Do Spa Cleansing Water Clothes:

These were probably the bigger let down of the box. Not for lack of quality of the product but more for the fact that the package was so small. This really is more of a travel size type product with only 10 wipes, however I do appreciate having these to take with me traveling. I have seen mixed reviews on these but I really enjoy the softness of the clothes and how high end they felt when using them. They also are good size and make it easy to take off a full face. I really enjoyed this product I just wish there were more.

Last but not least the Luxie Gaea 3 Piece Brush Set:

If you have been following me for any length of time you know I am a make up brush lover/hoarder. I don’t think I can ever have enough! But in any case I love almost any brush sent my way and these are no exception. These are very lightweight and the quality is always on point with Luxie. More and more these days I have been using a foundation brush to apply my foundation first and then going in with a sponge so I was especially excited to get this in the box this month.

I really hope you enjoy this new style and format of reviewing for my Boxy Charm products each month! This is something I’m excited to do so that I can make up for no longer having multiple subscriptions. Please let me know what you think in the comments!

Thank you for stopping by and keep an eye out for what might be up around the curve!
